The challenges we're hired to solve.

01

Accessibility audit & WCAG remediation

My app fails accessibility audits.

Procurement asks for a VPAT. Legal flags WCAG. The audit comes back with a hundred issues — half about colour contrast, the rest about keyboard navigation and screen reader behaviour. The team doesn't know where to start.

Audit, prioritise, fix. We run axe, validate with NVDA and VoiceOver, and remediate against WCAG 2.1 AA. Tokens that encode contrast. Keyboard and screen-reader behaviour baked into the design system. CI gates so it doesn't regress.

AI-generated code review & remediation

My AI-generated code needs production quality.

Cursor and Copilot ship readable code that costs at runtime. Re-renders ripple. Effects fire on every keystroke. Memoisation is at the wrong boundary. The team moves fast and pays for it later.

A systematic audit. We find the patterns that fail, document the fixes, and leave the team a short checklist for the next AI-generated PR. The output is durable — your engineers carry it into every future review.

UX audit & interface engineering

My product looks outdated and users drop off.

Design decisions compound. A dated visual language, unclear hierarchy, and friction in the flow — users feel it before they articulate it. The product stops converting and the team ships features into a broken experience.

A focused UX audit and remediation engagement. We review the product against usability heuristics, map the drop-off points, and deliver annotated fixes — not a deck, an implementation spec. For teams that want to move immediately, we own the remediation directly in React or Angular components.

React & Angular performance engineering

My React app is slow.

Live data flows in, the UI locks up, and the team blames the framework. The actual cause is usually a stack of small mistakes — re-rendering ancestors, unstable callbacks, charts that haven't been tuned for the data they're showing, and a streaming pipeline that doesn't batch.

A measured engagement. We profile first, fix what the data shows, and measure again. Typically two to four weeks for a single hot path — sometimes a day if the bottleneck is obvious. Either way, we leave behind a profile-driven workflow your team keeps.

Frontend refactoring & architecture

My codebase is unmaintainable.

Years of feature pressure leave a frontend without structure. Files in the wrong folders, components that know too much, a shared state object every feature mutates. New work gets harder, not easier — and the team starts to dread the codebase that pays them.

A module-led refactor. Domain boundaries, isolated features, predictable data flow. We work in PR-sized increments so the team keeps shipping while it lands. No big-bang rewrite.
